Adult Folktale Slam Series Grand Finale
Saturday, March 16 - doors open at 6:30, Slam begins shortly thereafter.
In honor of St. Patrick's Day, we are having a Celtic-themed Story Slam, so bring your stories from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and Brittany. Heck, bring some Manx tales, if you've got 'em!! This is our "Celtic Craic" Story Slam, and our last Adult Folktale Slam of the season, don't miss it! Each Slammer gets seven (7) minutes to tell their folktale, fairytale, legend, myth or tall tale. No judges, we go by Audience Choice for our Adult Folktale Slam series. Fabulous prizes will be distributed!
After the Slammers tell, Doria will share her program,
“Irish Tales of the Horny, Ornery and Out-of-the-Ordinary”
Yes, you guessed it, this is not a family show. 18+ only. Beer, wine and snacks available for purchase.Bring your stories, bring your sense of humor and spirit of adventure, bring your friends and lovers, and celebrate with us!

Host: Norah Dooley, and featuring Doria Hughes, (left) is a native of Cambridge, MA, with a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature and Anthropology, and a Masters in Celtic Languages and Literatures. She has been telling for several years around greater Boston and Cambridge, in schools, bookstores and festivals. Doria is a co-founder of massmouth,inc. and the co-host of this Folk and Fairy Tale series.
