Event Description

A new story slam series begins on the 16th of October and continues every 3rd Thursday till March 19th.

Join us every third Thursday October - March for our Story Slam series. Come and share your own story or listen to outrageous true tales from here and beyond. Think you can tell a great story?  Share your five minute story for a panel of judges. Story tellers drop their name in a hat and are chosen at random to compete agaist nine other people for the best story of the evening.  Two winners selected by the judges and 1 winner selected by audience choice will win prizes and have the opportunity to advance and tell their winning story in masmouth's story slam in the spring.

Tickets $10.00 and $15.00 online

Stories in the Streets in an outreach literacy program that focuses on families in at-risk areas and fosters community engagement in storytelling by: 1) Creating opportunities for public storytelling wherever families gather — a farmer’s market, laundromat, or food line; and, 2) Offering storytelling workshops that raise family engagement in literacy, cultural awareness and community understanding.  The program is currently active in Lawrence, Brockton and Randolph.
