Event Description

EMBODY YOUR STORY
a two day course in bringing stories to life.
May 14th and 21st from 10:30-12 noon at The Dancing Tree Story Workshop, Needham, MA

EMBODY YOUR STORY - A TWO SESSION INTENSIVE

Saturday, May 14th and Saturday, May 21st.

Get the stiffness out of your telling and the playfulness back in with ‘embodied storytelling’ a delightful body-based approach. When you embody a story, your physicality is as full a partner as your imagination and your voice. Weave into your narrative arc the world of the story and the body-based experiences of your characters and find surprising moments, new insights and organic rhythms enriching your work. Embodiment opens the door to storytelling’s ancient, transformational magic. Bring a short and simple folkloric tale. An Aesop fable would be perfect!

This workshop is for storytellers, theatre artists, public speakers, clergy, teachers, interpreters, parents and all those who have a chance to tell a tale in their life or work. Open to all levels of experience.

$55 (Earlybird $45) RSVP through Eventbrite!

Note: Signing up for one workshop on the eventbrite page signs you up for the whole series!
