IMPRESARIA Presents Second Sunday Salons!  

Series I: The Art of Storytelling!

With refreshments and a chance to hobnob with the artists.

Theosophical Society, 21 Maple St., Arlington, MA

2-4pm, Second Sundays:

April 14: Helena Leet-Pellegrini

May 12: Tonia Pinheiro

June 9:  Diane Edgecomb, w/harper Margot Chamberlain

Admission: April and May, $12; June $15.

The Art of Storytelling!  runs from April to June, featuring Helena Leet-Pellegrini, an award winner at the 2011 MassMouth Boston Story Grand Slam; Tonia Pinheiro, Wake Up! Artist and founder of Wake Up! Works and ISEEU Theater; and Diane Edgecomb, Master Storyteller, Author and Theatre Artist, with Harper Margot Chamberlain. Each will bring her unique artistry as a teller of magical, poignant, enlightening tales from real life and other mystical origins.

Stories in the Streets in an outreach literacy program that focuses on families in at-risk areas and fosters community engagement in storytelling by: 1) Creating opportunities for public storytelling wherever families gather — a farmer’s market, laundromat, or food line; and, 2) Offering storytelling workshops that raise family engagement in literacy, cultural awareness and community understanding.  The program is currently active in Lawrence, Brockton and Randolph.
