"Interstitial Improv: Words and Music Boston"
on 13 November at 19:30.

In celebration of the Interstitial Arts Foundation's second anthology, Interfictions 2, the Slattery Project is going on national tour! The Slattery Project is a series of fiction readings set to visual displays and live improvised music. Led by Brian Slattery, performances have exhilarated audiences in Brooklyn and Manhattan and will be touring New York, Boston, Northampton, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles in November. Dozens of authors, musicians, and artists have eagerly begun merging their work, creating an astonishing atmosphere of interstitial enthusiasm that is truly cross-boundary and cross-country.

Stories in the Streets in an outreach literacy program that focuses on families in at-risk areas and fosters community engagement in storytelling by: 1) Creating opportunities for public storytelling wherever families gather — a farmer’s market, laundromat, or food line; and, 2) Offering storytelling workshops that raise family engagement in literacy, cultural awareness and community understanding.  The program is currently active in Lawrence, Brockton and Randolph.
