Somebody’s bound to object to one’s love object!
“Love Objects” story slam on Monday, February 7, 2011 will feature co-hosts, massmouth’s Andrea Lovett and dancer, choreographer, and actor, Torena Webb. In a play of words, this event invites tellers to bring stories of their love objects and/or what they object to when in love. verb? noun? mix and match?
If you have a life, if you have ever loved, you have a story. Bring it. massmouth continues its year of successful slams at

Names will be drawn at random. The stories will be judged and prizes awarded to the top two finishers. “Love Objects” story slam welcomes the Caribbean flair of co-host Torena Webb.
Torena Webb’s recent dance projects include her one woman show, A Walk with Nanny: A Journey through Caribbean Folklore; and performing at the Artbeat Festival in Sommerville, Mass. Webb has had extensive Caribbean dance training from the Edna Manley School of Visual and Performing Arts in Kingston, Jamaica. She was chosen as an Emerging Artist to have her choreography produced at Green Street Studios in Cambridge, Mass. Currently Webb teaches dance and arts education and tells stories at slam events. This is the second time she brings her stories and humor to co-host a massmouth event.
About massmouth: massmouth is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the timeless are of storytelling through social media, education and live performance. This is massmouth’s second story slam season.
About story slams: At a story slam, participants tell five minute personal stories on the theme. Ten lucky tellers have their names drawn at random to tell and be judged by five volunteer judges. massmouth awards prizes to the top two stories. Listeners will be engaged in story improv games between each five minute feature. On April 26th, 2011 winners will gather for a BIGMOUTHOFF story slam at Rabb Hall at the Copley Square Library. massmouth will award the lucky winner of this contest with a fabulous prize getaway.
