Event Description

An Evening With Comic Novelist and Essayist Erica Ferencik

Erica Ferencik is an award winning novelist, screenwriter, filmmaker and standup comedian, and has been a featured guest on NPR’s “Morning Stories”.

Her satiric novel, Cracks in the Foundation, was published by Waking Dream Press in the summer of ’08 and features Ginger Kanadoo, a hapless, desperate realtor who will stop at nothing to seal a deal.

Alex Beam of the Boston Globe says, "It's hard to think about real estate without crying...Well, try laughing, instead. In Cracks in the Foundation, Erica Ferencik convinces us that comic reality is more hysterical than we ever imagined."

Tonight she’ll be reading from her new collection of essays, Fifteen Steves, as well as giving us a taste of Cracks in the Foundation.
