Event Description

"Art Walk of Easthampton" will present Peggy Melanson’s ZENTANGLE Art at PACE: Pioneer Arts Center of Easthampton, MA



Beginning at 6:00 PM, Peggy will give a demonstration of this easy and relaxing form or pen and ink art.


Next to Storytelling and her cat, “ T.O. Boo,” Peggy has fallen in love with the art of ZENTANGLE. She is a two time cancer survivor and was chosen as Torchbearer for the 2002 Olympics and awarded “Cool Woman of America” by American Movie Classics Television Network. She has received several Massachusetts Cultural Arts grants for her work as a mixed media, performing artist and Artist/Educator. As a freelance writer, she has written columns for several New England magazines and newspapers.. Peggy is also the designer and presenter of the “Finding The Courage To Create” creative arts workshops for beginners.

Stories in the Streets in an outreach literacy program that focuses on families in at-risk areas and fosters community engagement in storytelling by: 1) Creating opportunities for public storytelling wherever families gather — a farmer’s market, laundromat, or food line; and, 2) Offering storytelling workshops that raise family engagement in literacy, cultural awareness and community understanding.  The program is currently active in Lawrence, Brockton and Randolph.
