The Riverway Storytelling Festival is now accepting submissions for the annual Riverway Festival Regional Showcase performance, which will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011, in the greater Albany, NY area.
The story submitted should fit with the concert theme: "Passport to Adventure: World Stories for Families"
Submissions should be in the form of a sheet of paper, or an email submitted to storycrafters@verizon.net, indicating storyteller's name, mailing address, telephone, and email contact info, and a 7-10 minute story in one of the following formats:
1. mp3 file attached to an email, sent to: storycrafters@verizon.net
2. CD with accompanying paper indicating which track is the desired story
In addition, auditioners must submit a bio sheet and photo of minimum 300 d.p.i.
Only one story can be submitted per storyteller.
Storytellers who performed in the 2010 Riverway Showcase are not eligible for submission in 2011.

Submissions must be received no later than February 1, 2011.
A committee will judge all submissions, and the top choices of the committee will be invited to perform the story in the Showcase Performance.
Chosen Showcase performers will be announced no later than March 1, 2011. Showcase performers will receive free admission to the festival, and are also given consideration for future performance in the Riverway Festival.
The Riverway Storytelling Festival is held each spring in the Capital District of New York State. Sponsored by the Upper Hudson Library Association, the festival features performances and workshops by some of the finest storytellers from across the state, region, and the US.
The 2011 festival will be held from April 4-10, 2011. Information about the festival can be found at www.riverwaystorytellingfestival.org.
