Event Description

SHARING THE FIRE

The Northeast Storytelling Conference
2010 • Sharing the Fire - Northeast Storytelling Conference
Crowne Plaza, Warwick, Rhode Island

The Northeast Storytelling Conference has had different names over the last 28 years from being called a Congress to Sharing the fire.
In 2008 the conference was renamed SHARING THE FIRE The Northeast Storytelling Conference to better describe it’s ever broadening scope as a National Storytelling conference while staying true to its historical roots.

SHARING THE FIRE The Northeast Storytelling Conference (STF NSC) is sponsored and organized by LANES.

LANES is an acronym that stands for the League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling.

Further, LANES stands for and is dedicated to the appreciation and promotion of the art of storytelling in all its aspects: traditional, creative, educational, cultural, personal, and therapeutic

STF NESC is more than just a conference which provides workshops, performances, round table discussions, vendor exhibits, mind provoking Keynote Speakers and an Annual business meeting. This Conference provides an inviting and supporting atmosphere where both seasoned veterans and beginning storytellers and their audiences may share the warmth provided by a great tale being told. Whether the story is told at a swap, featured performance or over a cup of coffee in some obscure corner this is not your average Storytelling Conference.

Please return here in December of 2009 for information on the 2010
