Folk and Fairy Tale Slam -

Laura Packer knows that the best way to the truth is through a good story. Whether folktale or true, epic or flash, her stories captivate and amuse audiences around the world. Laura has told, taught, ranted, raved, consulted and considered storytelling around the world.

We are in the planning stages of a program that challenges tellers to use a prop or costume piece among other fun guidelines including:

telling 7 minute story
must be fiction and in some traditional form
you may use a prop, costume, music BUT no notes

We have secured the prizes and the audience will choose winners:

A bag of magic beans = 1st

A magic wishing stone = 2nd

A small bale of hay = 3rd

Puppet Showplace Theatre is an award-winning non-profit performing arts organization committed to excellence in puppetry for audiences of all ages.
