What is a story slam?

A story slam is a competition based on the art of telling stories about real-life experiences on a specific theme and within a set time limit; modeled after The Moth. (www.themoth.org)

Members of the audience (Tellers) from all walks of life, and every age group, drop their name in a hat for a chance to tell a five-minute true story on the theme  “Making Waves.” Some people love to just come to listen to others tell their stories. Cash prizes awarded and the winner will move onto the Grand Slam.

Have you made waves? At the beach or in the office? Social justice? Are you the one that makes waves at family gatherings?

What’s your story?

$10.00 at the door or online
