Event Description

This is the first SouthShore story slam at Norwell Library but not the first slam in Norwell. Norwell loves the story slams.

Sunday, November  5, 2017 2:00PM PM (doors open 1:45PM PM)

Have you ever gone to dinner with two different shoes on? Have you played matchmaker

and believe it or not it turned out to be a match made in heaven.

Norwell Public Library and South Shore Story Slams have teamed up to present an abbreviated

Story Slam on November 5th at 2PM.  Come to listen or drop your name in the hat for a chance to tell your five minute true story from your life with the theme of  Believe it or Not. South Shore Story Slams have proven very popular with Norwell residents at the well attended spring Story Slams at the James Library and Center for the Arts and also the Company Theater for last years Grand Slam Story Slam. This event is free and appropriate for late teens through adult.

What is a, not to be missed, Story Slam ?

A story slam is a competition based on the art of storytelling. It encourages storytellers to focus on their personal narrative and the craft of publicly performing. Every story is required to fit into a five minute time frame. It is short snappy and lots of fun. It is similar to The Moth
