Event Description

massmouth Story Slams resume Season 2 Save the dates for the best night out in Boston!

Slam season Opens at Kennedys on MONDAY OCT 4th.

Because you have a life, you have a story. Bring it. This month Bill Littlefield hosts along side one of the massmouth storytellers. From tennis to trash talking; from baseball to backstabbing - all human beings play games.
Win, lose or draw -bat, ball or special shoes - if you've played a game, there is a story. Bring it.

Stories start at 7PM but doors open and sign up starts at 6:30PM.
There’s the sports world and there’s the rest of the world; NPR® and Bill Littlefield brings them together on Only A Game. An award-winning weekly sports magazine hosted by veteran NPR commentator Bill Littlefield, Only A Game is radio for the serious sports fan and the steadfast sports avoider. Bill wrote his first commentary for WBUR in 1984, and shortly thereafter his work began airing on NPR’s “Morning Edition,” where, for a few years, he hit second in a line-up that included Red Barber and Frank Deford. A graduate of Yale University and the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Bill continues to teach one course each semester at Curry College, where he also serves as writer-in-residence. Bill’s most recent book is “Only A Game.” He refuses to say where he got the title.

$10 entry includes a drink. massmouth and Kennedy’s offer a $50 gift certificate and a t-shirt for the winner of each monthly slam. On April 26, 2011 all the finalists will gather for a BIG MOUTHOFF story slam at Rabb Hall at Copley Square Library.
