Ready to party? See you there! info follows:
After the Big Mouth Off final slam on the 20th, we are inviting all of you out to celebrate our 1st Season of Story Slams! We will have food, wine and beer, music and stories at our original host and sponsor's pub, Kennedy's Midtown. Party starts at 9:30 (or sooner, depends how quickly we can get from Copley Square to Kennedy's) In addition to partying and celebrating the success of the Boston/Cambridge story slam series, and all the people who made it happen, this is also an opportunity to raise $$$ funds for massmouth. You know about the work massmouth has done over the last 18 months to to raise the art of storytelling from relative obscurity into the public eye and ear. From the original Mouthoffs at Toscanini's, to the continuation of the Three Apples Storytelling performances, to our amazing 300+ video collection at our Ning site, right up to the Big Mouth Off! What you might not know is that most of this work has been accomplished through the unpaid work of a dedicated but small group of volunteers, and cash donations from a handful of unpaid, key organizers, many of whom have worked for 1000s of hours - literally - to make it all happen!

Over the past 6 months, massmouth has rec'd a $750 grant from the Cambridge Arts Council, a recent $1000 grant from an anonymous individual, the donation of the Story Slam prizes, small cash donations, and large in-kind donations, including the fabulous Grand Prize. However, this money does not even come close to covering the expenses, much less create a nest egg for massmouth's future activities.
So, here is your chance to come out to party, have fun and show your support of massmouth!

General admission will be $30 per person. This level is for avid supporters of the Art of Story, with all proceeds going to cover costs and support massmouth's continuing work to renew the timeless art of storytelling. Amounts above $30 will be graciously accepted.
