Event Description
Conference will explore the contemporary as well as the historic interactions between Black & Indigenous communities. These interactions will be explored through scholarly research, presentations, shared personal stories and imagery.
I will perform as Sarah Harris.
Prudence Crandall opened a private school for "Young Ladies and Little Misses of Color." Sarah Harris was the first girl of color to be admitted to the school. The school quickly became the flash point for a controversey that flared into a crisis.
It is a three day conference and my performance will be on June 13, at 1:00p.m. in Huddleston Hall/Holloway Commons.
