Event Description

Due to illness, susan Seidman has had to cancel her featured performance at Story Space.  She will be rescheduled for January.  In her place, Yana Sherman will be doing a  collection of stories she calls, "Mothers and Daughters:  I Am One and I Have One."  It will include a story based on the folk song, Scarlet Ribbons.  Another story is vignettes of Yana's relationship with her own Mom  The third selection are excerpts from a novel that Yana is writing.   The evening begins with an Open Mic at 7.  Tellers have 8 minutes to try new material or retell an old favorite.  First-time tellers are guaranteed a spot and listeners are always welcome.  Yana will begin her feature at 8:15.  The venue is near Central Square.  The gallery is intimate and inviting of creativity.  There is a suggested donation of $5 to keep these weekly gatherings going as they have for over 20 years.
