After a minimum of 6 story slams we will have a big mouthoff - grand finale, slam of all slams to decide on a winner. The big mouthoff will be held in APRIL 2010 in the beautiful Rabb Auditorium, Boston Public Library, Copley Square. The winner, with up to 5 friends or family members, will enjoy the fabulous grand prize described below:

What: One week Tuscan vacation in the historic hill town of . .

. . . Sarteano . . . plus $200 cash to help you get there

Where: Restored town house within the medieval walls of Sarteano

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home sleeps six has a fully equipped kitchen,
dining room and a living room with fireplace stove.

Sarteano, home to 4000 souls, give or take and is crowned by a 1000 year old castle and is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards .
Sarteano is near Montepulciano and Siena, as well as Cortona (“Under the Tuscan Sun”), Assisi, Orvieto, and Pienza, to name a few. Sarteano is also only about two hours from Rome and two hours from Florence.

When: Vacation must be within one year of the mssmouth big mouthoff grand Finale, and
is for one week (Saturday to Saturday). $1000 value.
Details: You must be a member of to participate in Big Mouthoff and perform in the state of Massachusetts (full time students in MA are eligible). The winner will be given contact information for the homeowner so that dates can be arranged to their mutual satisfaction. massmouth reserves the right to add to guidelines and rules as the Big Mouthoff approaches.

Stories in the Streets in an outreach literacy program that focuses on families in at-risk areas and fosters community engagement in storytelling by: 1) Creating opportunities for public storytelling wherever families gather — a farmer’s market, laundromat, or food line; and, 2) Offering storytelling workshops that raise family engagement in literacy, cultural awareness and community understanding.  The program is currently active in Lawrence, Brockton and Randolph.
