Are you a performer of story or listener, both, other? Tell us a bit about yourself...
I am a listener but would like to be a performer of story. I'm a public defender and used to speaking with people. At trials I tell the story of my clients innocence. So, some would say I have experience in fiction and non-fiction. I am married and have three grown children. 2 1/2 years ago, after telling my daughter a story that happened to me the day before, she said, "Dad, you really crack yourself up, you should go on stage." With that less than ringing endorsement, I signed up for a stand up comedy course and have been doing open mics and opening for actual comedians ever since. I recently went to see the Moth production when it came to Somerville theatre and fell in love with that style of performance. And I am terribly insecure about myself and don't care if people see that.
