Hi Jeremy, You are the guy at met last night at the play right? Welcome! SO glad you found us. We have story slams coming up in JP , and would love to introduce you to a couple of people over that way. Some of the slams will be at the JP bookstore and we are thinking Doyles might be fun , and LUNA(not sure if that is right name) but a bar or two. We have a workshop coming up, How to Tell A Kickbutt Story in 5 mins. ,and afterwards we have an open mic so people can try it out if they like.
It will be with Judith Black and the other co-founder that works with me Norah Dooley who is wonderful. There is an open mic on this Monday in Davis square 7pm,
A mini arts fest. in Somerville on the 17th of July we will be in , and another workshop on August 9th with myself and Doug Lipman. look on the events page on this website for more. Glad to have you with us. (I am Lisa Foley's cousin from the play) , hope to hear from you , Andrea

Grand Prize for South Shore Grand Slam Story Slam generously donated by Nicolette Heavey and Stories In The Streets (A Maine Get Away)

Stories in the Streets in an outreach literacy program that focuses on families in at-risk areas and fosters community engagement in storytelling by: 1) Creating opportunities for public storytelling wherever families gather — a farmer’s market, laundromat, or food line; and, 2) Offering storytelling workshops that raise family engagement in literacy, cultural awareness and community understanding.  The program is currently active in Lawrence, Brockton and Randolph.
