Norah Dooley said… Hi Tori, next slam is on the 7th of February theme is "love objects or love objects"
You can call and let us know you've called the week of the 7th . I would call it in by Friday sometime.
You stand a very good chance of telling tomorrow if you drop your name in as I said we pick two new to one old. Introduce yourself ,I'll be everywhere as will Norah. The co-hosts are fun Robin Maxfield and HR Britton see you there!
Welcome Tori, we would love for you to come and tell at one of our slams, we have one at Jamaica Plain tommorrow night. "Theme is Somebody's Got To Do It" we welcome new tellers(ie new to us) to tell first we do a 2 to 1 ratio. 2 new tellers are pulled then one that might have told at one of the other massmouth slams during the season. Or you could call our hotline direction but... too late for tomorrow but next slam yes...
1] "big mouth’s choice" Tellers send us voice mails of first 3
minutes of their story on the theme. The organizers can choose one of
these to be in the competition if the teller has not won already and if
the teller has won already, more than one may be added to the evenings
entertainment at the discretion of the big mouths. Decisions are final,
NO whining or complaining. We have set up a 24/7 voice mail box where we
can listen Read instructions below.
1] You MUST send an email first to stories@massmouth.com
with:
A]your name and "big mouth’s choice" in subject line
B] in the email put your name, your best phone # and the title or subject of your story send to: stories@massmouth.com
You may only record one story per theme. When you are ready to tell up to 3 or so minutes of your 5 minute story:
* Dial 617-922-0032
*when prompted, leave your name, and
*tell your story
*you can rerecord as often as you like
but please, be fair, only leave ONE recording at the voice mail
Wait to hear back. Please. We will call if interested or email you
regrets. Do not leave more than one story or message per month. massmouth will close entries 48 hours before next slam and notify those chosen by email and phone. *DO NOT CALL any of the organizers about this [see below] DO NOT leave anything but the info requested at this line
