Tony Toledo has been telling stories to pay the rent since 1990. From The Coffin Elementary School in Marblehead to a one room library in Post Mills, Vermont, Tony Toledo's voice brings you into the tale, makes you jump and makes you laugh. Tony Toledo grew up surrounded by soybeans, wheat and pinochle on his parents farm on Glenburg Road in Defiance, Ohio. In eighth grade he got an award for his penmanship. His hand writing has been all down hill since then. He graduated from Tinora High School last century in 1975. He ran away to the Army after High School. He was shocked that in the army he needed to wake up at 5 AM. They kept cutting his hair. These days he has 20 people who have had a few beers give him a haircut twice a year. Since 1990 he has been telling stories to pay the rent. He travels around New England sharing tales at elementary schools, libraries and festivals. He and his wife KR live on a massive one tenth of an acre estate in Beverly, Massachusetts with just enough room for her basil, his books and their Corn Museum. Tony is 52 years old but reads at a 63 year old level.

Just sent an email to my cousin Justin about our connection! Thanks for you offer last night and I would love to take you up on it. If it's in the spring that's fine but I have learned that it's never too early to start working on material. Can you tell me more of what date you are thinking and if there is a theme that needs adhering to. Can you put me on your email list firstname.lastname@example.org so I can attend one soon and see what it's like?
