Event Description

Cheryl Hamilton is a refugee advocate and storyteller.  She is also the creator and performer of a one-woman show, "Checked Floors,"  about the Somali settlement in Lewiston. ME. Her stories are woven with courage and compassion.  The evening will kick off with Open Mic at  7 p.m.  Tellers will have 8 minutes to try new material or hone an old favorite.  First-time tellers are guaranteed a slot and listeners are always welcome.  Cheryl will begin her featured presentation at 8:15.   The venue is close to Central Sq. and it cozy and conducive to creativity.  A $5 donation is suggested so that we can continue storytelling on Tuesdays beyond its 20 year existence.
