Dynamic storyteller Helena Leet-Pellegrini, winner of a recent MassMouth Story Slam, brings her wonderful and  humorous sense of story  and intense  delivery style to Wednesday February 2, 2011  Amazing Comedy Open Mique Show at the Amazing Things Arts Center in downtown Framingham.  Hosted by Framingham’s Dave Hornfischer the two+ hour “Mique Show” presents a number of area comedians doing all things funny including PG13 standup , storytelling funny songs, characters.

Helena will take you for a ride up Mt. Washington and then for a "not your usual stroll" through the North End as she brings life experience to the Amazing stage in a highly dynamic storytelling presentation .


A psychologist and creative expression coach, Helena Leet-Pellegrini hails from Milford and appears at various storytelling venues in Mass. At Passim's in Cambridge and at the Boulder Fringe Festival, she has performed her one woman show which includes "The Luigi Code," a moving and humorous look at growing up in an immigrant family with an anarchist grandfather.


Helena asks, Who needs to make up stories when real life provides so many laughs?

Stories in the Streets in an outreach literacy program that focuses on families in at-risk areas and fosters community engagement in storytelling by: 1) Creating opportunities for public storytelling wherever families gather — a farmer’s market, laundromat, or food line; and, 2) Offering storytelling workshops that raise family engagement in literacy, cultural awareness and community understanding.  The program is currently active in Lawrence, Brockton and Randolph.
