Judith Black will be our Featured Storyteller.  She is the pride of Marblehead, MA.  Judith is the prophet in our back yard who is worth her weight in fairy gold. 


Tony Toledo will be the afternoon's EMCEE and auctioneer.  Tony is the EMCEE at Speak Up Spoken Word Open Mike held every Wednesday in Lynn, MA.  Somehow he snuck in under the story fence to become the President of LANES.  Tony likes being an EMCEE so much he often introduces his dog to trees, cats and squirrels. They don't give a fig about his coins.

There will be many of Barbara Lipke's books to buy. Barbara was a long time member of LANES, a Sharing the Fire Coordinator, a lover of all things story.   Many  of these books were signed by the authors.    The details about an on line auction will be posted .

 Come to Our Silent Auction Story Event! Invite your neighbors! Hale Hall has room for 100 people.  Be sure you are one in a hundred. Buy your ticket in advance to be lock in your seat. 

Light refreshments will be awaiting your lips. Bring a desert to share.  Donate a signed Storytelling CD, a storytelling book, a folk tale collection, a coaching session, voice lessons, a DVD of tales, what ever story item you like that's a good bet your fellow tellers will like it too. 

Send your donation to Tony Toledo, PO Box 302, Beverly MA 01915 knowing you are helping the LANES that you love.  You can also come at 1 pm on Sunday to the Church to help set up chairs. If you can do that I will kiss you- or not- as is your want. Lastly, bring a five minute story to share.  There will be a Story Swap after Judith is done telling. email Tony Toledo for more

Grand Prize for South Shore Grand Slam Story Slam generously donated by Nicolette Heavey and Stories In The Streets (A Maine Get Away)

Stories in the Streets in an outreach literacy program that focuses on families in at-risk areas and fosters community engagement in storytelling by: 1) Creating opportunities for public storytelling wherever families gather — a farmer’s market, laundromat, or food line; and, 2) Offering storytelling workshops that raise family engagement in literacy, cultural awareness and community understanding.  The program is currently active in Lawrence, Brockton and Randolph.
