Event Description

I've got a slot at a "block party" as MassArts to do my one-man band (laptop, instruments, microphone) strange but perhaps listenable if not downright enjoyable and maybe even trance-inducing music and verbal voyages.  It's in the courtyard and will feature many other bands.

The block party overlaps with a week long "Progress Festival" at MassArts, and there will be other things going on inside, so you can make a day (and evening) of a trip there.

The show is this Saturday, April 23.  I am on at 4 PM.

I'll try to work in a pitch for MassMouth during my ramblings.  I'l love to see any or all MassMouthers there.

PROGRESS: Block Party!
2pm - 10pm in the Courtyard, Pozen, N-181 (at MassArt)

All day fun, games, art, music, and more! For FREE!
(COURTYARD) 8 live bands kick out the party jams while you dance, hula hoop, toss a frisbee, or witness one of the cutting edge installations.
(COURTYARD) Max Bard is a maniacal creative genius making chopped and screwed t-shirts and paintings from out of a shopping cart. YOU write the story with Chifuku Kuwahara's illustrated books, blank pages ready for your narration.
(COURTYARD) Models wear crisp white outfits until they get splashed with paint, creating LIVE fashion! Don't miss our make-you-own PB&J sandwich station, whether you like fluff, jam, nutella, honey, or banana - we can provide your wildest sandwich desires.
(POZEN CENTER) The Together Festival (Boston's festival for art and technology) hosts vendors selling everything from vinyl records to handmade instruments, with a DJ spinning during an electro fashion show by Deconize.
(NORTH 181) MassArt student performances and artwork from the ever innovative Studio for Interrelated Media (SIM)!
