Event Description

Org goes formal in this one-night event, produced by Singer Mali (of Jaggery).  Local performers revisit the proms of their past and transform this teenage rite-of-passage via music, dance, storytelling, and film.  Witness Oberon transformed into a high school gymnasium, complete with prom photobooth, Prom Queen & King ballot casting and voting, and plenty of other opportunities for awkwardness and excess.  Formal ~ and creative ~ attire highly encouraged, as are dates (we dare you to ask out that special someone this time around).  Audience participation is a given, so bring your dancing shoes.  Whether you never made it to your prom, or would never dream of going back, Org: Prom gives you the chance to make peace with your inner high schooler and turn this bizarre American tradition into the party you also wished it had been.Tickets
