scarred-for-lifeSharing the Fire Storytelling Conference is likely to become your favorite storytelling weekend out of the whole year.

“For years I had heard about this storytelling conference called “Sharing the Fire.” When at last I went to a conference, I gained so many new insights, met so many helpful people, heard so many great stories, I haven’t missed a conference since.”

On Friday night you’ll be greeted by smiling faces and wonderful stories, starting with the Story Slam.

Saturday morning the Keynote Panel will make you think, make you smile, and challenge you to be a better storyteller.

Then come a truck load of wonderful workshops. You won’t believe how much can get packed into 90 minutes. Presenters will help you dip your toes into Branding, or How to Tell, or Blog Magic or Coaching.  These are pros who willingly share all they know so that your storytelling will shine.

Saturday night you’ll get an ear full of grand tales at the Olio, a gathering of stories, a sampler plate of story just for your joyful ears to enjoy.

Who will win the Brother Blue Award? It’s given to the person who has gone above and beyond promoting storytelling in the last year. (Brother Blue was a beloved member of our storytelling community who passed on in 2009. His widow Ruth Hill still brings her spark and love of story to Sharing the Fire.)

We have an annual LANES meeting Sunday morning with time for folks to share what they’ve been telling in their neck of New England. They will also get an update from the LANES board on ideas new and old. Sunday has even more workshops and a warm closing program to send you on your way.

We haven’t even touched on the wonderful conversations that happen in stolen moments all weekend long. Or the breaking of bread together, and the welcoming of first time attendees to our wonderful conference. See you in Amherst!

Northeast Storytelling Conference this month! If you haven't registered yet and are planning to come, online registration closes on March 24.
