Bring your fantastic, realistic, metaphorical and/or phantasmagorical stories about food from around the world.

Traditional storytellers from massmouth, inc. featuring Laura Packer & Danielle Schulman as co hosts and George Capaccio as the featured teller, will perform at the Puppet Showplace Theatre (PST) in the 2nd of 6 folk & fairy tale slams events .

Professional storyteller, George Capaccio, started his storytelling career in fifth grade when Mr. Lynch, his teacher, praised the outlandish tall tales he loved to make up and the “mad scientist” plays he and his friend Alex performed for their classmates. Before turning pro, George performed in many of Boston’s theaters, including the American Repertory Theater. For 5 years, he acted with the Museum of Science’s Science Theater. He also worked with Boston-based children’s theater companies as an actor, writer, workshop leader, and artist educator. Building on this experience, George went on to co-host The Children’s Room, a nationally broadcast, award-winning children’s TV show. For each episode, he delivered dramatic readings of contemporary and traditional children’s books. Besides telling stories, George has written fiction and nonfiction, and recorded children’s books-on-tape and CD for leading educational publishers.

We will pick 5 tellers for each night and leave two slots for random choice from “the hat”.  Pre-selected tellers get in free and must arrive by 6:30pm to claim slot

must be the teller’s own version, of a folk tale
