Hello All Tellers Near and Far!
Don't be fooled, my friends, by this spring-like weather and the melting snow in the lowlands! Annual Sled and Story Swap!.Play in the snow! Drink hot cider and hot chocolate! Shmooze! Feast of scrumptious food. And swap tales new and old! Come for all or part of the day.Gather at my house 2:00 and 2:30 We leave promptly at 2:30 til 3:30 or 4:00   Feasting starts around 4:30 and swapping will commence around 5:30 or 5:45. Pray for snow! *Out-of-towners - call or e-mail me if you need a place - come on out to the hills for a fun visit!* Bring* Sleds, saucers and toboggans of all shapes and sizes - bring as many as you have to share.
* Warm clothes!  And a change of clothes for apres-sled comfort. * A pot luck contribution.  I'll have tea and hot chocolate and a food dish. * A story or two to share. I have a very sweet dog and a cat.  Directions to 439 West Road, Ashfield. Request for directions! My number is 413-628-0031.

Stories in the Streets in an outreach literacy program that focuses on families in at-risk areas and fosters community engagement in storytelling by: 1) Creating opportunities for public storytelling wherever families gather — a farmer’s market, laundromat, or food line; and, 2) Offering storytelling workshops that raise family engagement in literacy, cultural awareness and community understanding.  The program is currently active in Lawrence, Brockton and Randolph.
