The Stow Story Slam 2011

Winter tales return! The stories continue!  The Stow Story Slam is back - a fun, funny, and full-house community event.

Guest storyteller, National Book Award winner, and Stow hometown boy made good, M.T. Anderson, comes home that night to regale us with his stories and to introduce the local tale tellers. Author of multiple books including award-winning The Astonishing Life ofOctavian Nothing, Vol. I: The Pox Party, Mr. Anderson will be presented with an official Resolution from the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts acknowledging his literary gifts and local roots.

Any tale of laughter, reflection, memory, narrative, orriveting suspense is welcome – this is a shared feast of imagination and the spoken word.

$50, $25, and $20 gift certificates from Willow Books in Acton go to the top three winners, respectively.

Localauthors and artists are again invited to showcase their gifts and ply their wares.  Please let us know you are coming and we will provide a display table for you.

Because the stories are not previewed ahead of time, this evening is likely not suited to young children. Refreshments will be available and door donations benefit the Stow Community Chest.

Formore information, please contact Skye Gibson:;978-461-6015.
