Event Description

Dates of Institute: August 7-9, 2015
Last Early Bird Extended: June 6, 2015!!
This Institute is a three day immersion into the Art of Storytelling.  Using improv theater and movement and other exercises we will explore character, voice, movement, motivation and story arc to craft our stores for telling.  Each year has been rich with images formed by words and movements wisely chosen over the course of the three days together.  Each year we form a community amongst us.  And we have a blast!
Fun, powerful work with a seasoned Storyteller and Coach!
Who should come?
Storytellers, educators, librarians, therapists, lawyers, doctors, environmental educators, theatre professional, clergy, corporate executives/consultants, speech and language therapists....anyone who speaks with people or communicates for work! Many also come for personal growth and a chance to treat themselves to a weekend retreat away from their usual routine. Yeah....that sounds nice!
Massachusetts TEACHERS can get 20 PDP's!  There will be time allotted on Saturday to enjoy the facility and surrounding area - biking, walking, swimming, hot tubbing - or simply to relax.  Some choose to use this time to work individually on their stories.
Whatever your reason, I hope you'll consider joining us this year!
The first Early Bird Deadline is May  30, which comes with the incentives of $50 off the fee and ONE hour of free coaching!!
This is a small group experience, so register NOW for a spot and for your first choice in lodging!
"People would be crazy not to attend - the opportunity to get taught and coached by Rona Leventhal in a place of beauty - it's a no-brainer!"
“This workshop was absolutely a 10!!!!! You are a marvelous storyteller and workshop leader. The way you teach and coach is inspiring."
"Your workshop was a mind expanding experience of creativity and free expression! You invited us to take risks and provided a safe place in which to do that, creating a community amongst us. This has been a fantastic experience that has influenced and changed the lives of all of us who attended. Now we're telling our stories, full of vivid imagery. You are a gifted teacher!"
"Great way to engage kids in storytelling activities, to unlock imagination, creativity, enhance writing and oral presentation skills."
Rona Leventhal has been telling stories and helping others to tell their stories for twenty-five years!  She has performed from the stage at the National Storytelling Network conference in Los Angeles to schools, libraries, campfires and conferences around the U.S. and beyond.  Rona is a Storyteller, Improv Theatre and Movement Specialist, Outdoor and Environmental Educator, Team Building Specialist and certified Teacher.  She is passionate about her art, about education, and about helping others find their voices or use storytelling to reach their personal or professional goals.
