OK I think I may have a problem here. My friend Willey Phinedit (pronounced Find-it) was encouraged by Bruce Marcus and others to submit for this years 1st night Story Slam.

He has done so and both e-mail and phone message are done.

Then I read if it is a 90% fictive tale, without explicitly revealing this- I will be disqualified from all competition and prizes in that season (copyright laws apply, and this is a competition of true stories, not storytelling)

Well sir let me tell you Willey is 100% fictive so even though his tales may be based on Maine Humor they are his original tales and protected by his copyright.

The other problem is, this character wears a uniform because that is who he is. The rules say a storyteller may not use props, costumes or musical instruments. Does this mean Willey will never be eligible for a Massmouth Story Slam?
