Over five Wednesdays, explore the roots of meaning in a fairytale of your choice using a rich variety of methods. Each week vocal, physical and image based exercises will lead workshop participants deeper into the heart of the tale - showing us ways we can unlock its meaning for ourselves and our audiences whether on stage, in the classroom or around the kitchen table.
By the end of this workshop, participants will gain an understanding of how meaning (both psychological, archetypal and mythic) is buried within a traditional tale. They will have learned several ways to discover and then unlock their own relationship to the hidden meanings of a tale through meditative explorations, body sources and active imagination. In addition they will gain familiarity with seminal thinkers in this field, intellectual figures from the history of religion, psychology and myth.
$150 for all five Wednesday sessions! Runs October 7-November 4th from 7-9pm.
