Event Description

Expand the creative ability of your voice with this one day adventure into innovative vocal technique. Diane's unique vocal and physical exercises help participants explore and strengthen the connection between imagination and voice, bringing about more expressive storytelling, theatre and communication skills. Special emphasis is placed on going beyond habitual usages and restrictions to find your natural and true voice, increasing its range and resonance. Wear comfortable clothing and come join us to speak, sing and Sound Out!


This workshop is for storytellers, theatre artists, public speakers, clergy, teachers, interpreters and all those who rely on good voice production and expressive vocal abilities in their work. Open to all levels of experience.

Stories in the Streets in an outreach literacy program that focuses on families in at-risk areas and fosters community engagement in storytelling by: 1) Creating opportunities for public storytelling wherever families gather — a farmer’s market, laundromat, or food line; and, 2) Offering storytelling workshops that raise family engagement in literacy, cultural awareness and community understanding.  The program is currently active in Lawrence, Brockton and Randolph.
