I have been trying to post a new event to the site here, and it won't let me. Keeps saying "error on page", even after I filled in every piece of info ....

That's a problem Mei-Lin. For now can you pass along to me the info you want to post and I will post it for you. There has been one other member that it has happened to as well. Any pictures also send them to my e-mail until we can figure this out,Andrea at
Mei Lin I just left a message for the NING guys asking for help with the problem. Let's see what they say. For now pass along your info.Andrea
I think the problem might have been with the picture I tried to post; not sure if it's copyright protected or something.

Why does it require an image for the event before it will post? Is there a way to make this optional? It would seem to make it unnecessarily difficult to post about a new event if you can't find an appropriate image for the event easily, or are image-upload-challenged like myself.
Oh I didn't see this new post I would have added it to the ning guys questions. It may be that it is copy protected. I don't think you have to have a phot. But we can find somethng appropriate if that is so. Andrea

Stories in the Streets in an outreach literacy program that focuses on families in at-risk areas and fosters community engagement in storytelling by: 1) Creating opportunities for public storytelling wherever families gather — a farmer’s market, laundromat, or food line; and, 2) Offering storytelling workshops that raise family engagement in literacy, cultural awareness and community understanding.  The program is currently active in Lawrence, Brockton and Randolph.
