the living art of storytelling in Massachusetts
Joanne has been telling stories since before she knew there was any such thing. Once she knew what she was doing, she stopped going to Confession for it, and started making money at it. (Well, just a little bit). Her stories are often amalgams of folk tales, real life, music, humor and something sticky to hold them all together. She tells for children and adult audiences alike, often simultaneously!
Joanne's CD "Lemmetellya: New Twists on Old Tales" was awarded a NAPPA Honors Award in 2008. It is available at cdbaby.com, and it is quite good.
Joanne is the producer of the monthly "Storytelling in the Pantry" series in Rochester, NH and is the past president of LANES (The League for the Advancement of NE Storytelling; www.lanes.org).
