the living art of storytelling in Massachusetts
New prize category: Storytelling 2.0 Prize at the Big Mouth Off
At the request of an anonymous donor, the Big Mouths were asked to create a new category of award for the Big Mouth Off and choose a winner for that award. This new award supports massmouth's mission to "...renew the timeless art of storytelling in Massachusetts by building audience while engaging a new generation of tellers..." In response to this request, we created a Big Mouth's Storytelling 2.0 Prize category and our donor has offered a cash prize for the contestant. We also solicited another prize from LANES.org. We are happy to announce the winner of the 2010, Big Mouth's Storytelling 2.0 Prize Award ~ the winner is Paul Hlebowitsh (above) for his story "Chocolate Milk" The prize is $100 in cash and LANES.org, the New England's longest running storytelling organization, has contributed a one day free conference registration to the New England Storytelling Conference ~ aka Sharing The Fire, 2011.
